Seasoned Crab Legs (Soslu Yengec Bacagi)

1 lb snow crab/Alaskan king crab legs
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp cumin
4 cloves garlic, minced
½ tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp salt to taste
2-3 Tbsp lemon juice
¼ cup butter
1-2 cup hot water

Butter Sauce:
½ cup butter, melted
1 Tbsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste

If desired cut a slit, length-wise, into the shell of each piece of crab. Otherwise, place all the crab clusters into a pot and add the other ingredients. Make sure the water half covers the crab clusters. Bring to a boil and close the lid. Steam for about 6-7 minutes over low-medium heat.
Serve hot with the butter dipping sauce.

½ kg yengec/Alaska yengec bacagi
1 tatli kasigi kirmizi toz biber
½ tatli kasigi kimyon
4 dis sarimsak, ezilmis
½ tatli kasigi kara biber
½ yemek kasigi tuz
2-3 yemek kasigi limon suyu
¼ su bardagi tereyagi
1-2 su bardagi sicak su

Tereyag Sosu:
½ su bardagi tereyagi, eritilmis
1 yemek kasigi limon suyu
Tuz ve karabiber

Arzu edereseniz yengec bacaklarinin boyuna dogru bicakla bir cizik atin. Ya da oldugu gibi buyuk bir tencereye alin. Diger malzemeleri ilave edin ve harmanlayin. Yengec bacaklarinin yarisina kadar sicak suyu ilave edin ve sonra kaynamasini bekleyin. Kapagi kapali olarak kisik ateste 6-7 dakika pisirin.
Tereyag sosu ile birlikte sicak servis edin.

Crab Casserole with Cheese (Peynirli Yengec Guveci)

1 lb crab meat/imitation crab
½ cup cream cheese
4-5 Tbsp mayonnaise
½ lemon’s juice
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
1 tsp salt to taste
¼ tsp black pepper
½ cup grated cheddar cheese

Soften cream cheese to room temperature. Mix ingredients in a big bowl, in the order listed. Then, add 1/4 cup of the grated cheese to the mixture. Transfer the mixture over a greased Pyrex dish. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup on top. Bake at 350F (180C) for 45-50 minutes.
Serve with crackers if desired.

½ kg yengec eti/imitasyon yengec
½ su bardagi krem peynir
4-5 yemek kasigi mayonez
½ limonun suyu
1 yemek kasigi Worcestershire sosu (istege bagli)
1 tatli kasigi tuz
½ cay kasigi karabiber
½ su bardagi kasar/cedar peyniri, rendelenmis

Krem peyniri oda sicakliginda yumusak olmalidir. Malzemeleri listedeki siraya gore buyuk bir kasede karistirin. Sonra, ¼ su bardagi rendelenmis kasar/cedar peynirini ilave edin. Karisimi yaglanmis bir borcam tepsiye aktarin. Geriye kalan rendelenmis peyniri uzerine serpin. Onceden isitilmis 180C (350F) firinda yaklasik 45-50 dakika pisirin.
Arzu ederseniz kraker ile servis yapin.

Green Onion Crab Salad (Yesil Soganli Yengec Salatasi)

½ lb crab/imitation crab meat, chunks
1 cup iceberg/lettuce, shredded
2 pairs of green onions, chopped
1 cup yogurt
1 tbsp mayonnaise/mustard
¼ tsp Italian seasoning/any kind you like
¼ tsp salt to taste

In a bowl, mix yogurt, mayonnaise/mustard, salt and spices. Then stir in the other ingredients and mix them all. Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with green onion pieces.
Keep Green Onion Crab Salad in the fridge.

2 tane yesil sogan, dogranmis
1 su bardagi yogurt
1 yemek kasigi mayonez/hardal
1 cay kasigi tuz
1 cay kasigi Italyan baharati/istediginiz baharat cesidi

Yogurt, mayonez/hardal, tuz ve baharati karistirin. Sonra diger malzemeleri de ilave edip harmanlayin.
Uzerini yesil sogan ile susleyebilirsiniz.
Yesil Soganli Yengec Salatasi’ni buzdolabinda muhafaza edin.

Crab Salad with Corn (Misirli Yengec Salatasi)

½ lb crab meat/imitation crab meat, chunk
½ cup mayonnaise
½-2/3 cup yogurt
¼ cup mustard (optional)
½ cup pickle slices, cut into small pieces
½ cup sweet corn
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp salt to taste
¼ tsp thyme
2 pairs of fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Mix all the ingredients but the drab meat in a bowl. Then stir in crab meat and combine all of them. Transfer into a salad plate and serve.

Yengec eti haric butun malzemeyi bir kasede karistirin ve sonra yengec etini ilave edip harmanlayin. Salata tabagina alin ve servis yapin.

Crab Salad with Greens (Yengecli Yesil Salata)

4 oz(100 gr) Cooked Crab Meat/Imitation Crab, chunked
2-3 leaves of lettuce or iceberg lettuce, finely chopped
1-2 pieces of fresh dill/parsley, chopped
1-2 green onions, chopped (optional)
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp lemon juice
½ tsp celery seed (optional)
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp vinegar (optional)
Salt to taste
Black Olives for garnish

Place the chopped lettuce/iceberg, green onions, dill/parsley, salt, vinegar and olive oil in a salad plate and mix them all. In a plate mix the mayonnaise with cooked crab meat/ imitation crab chunks, lemon juice, black pepper and celery seeds.
Finally spread this mixture on the greens, garnish with black olives and serve.

2-3 yaprak marul/kivircik/gobek salata, ince dogranmis
1-2 dal taze dereotu/maydanoz, dogranmis
1-2 yesil sogan, dogranmis
2 yemek kasigi mayonez
1 yemek kasigi limon suyu
1 cay kasigi kereviz tohumu (istege bagli)
½ cay kasigi karabiber
1 yemek kasigi zeytinyagi
1 cay kasigi sirke (istege bagli)
Bir miktar tuz
Suslemek icin siyah zeytin

Kivircik/marul/atom salata, yesil sogan ve dereotu/maydanozu tuz, sirke ve zeytinyagi ile karistirin. Salata tabagina alin. Baska bir yerde pismis yengec/ imitasyon yengec etlerini mayonez, limon suyu, karabiber ve kereviz tohumu ile karistirin.
Son olarak mayonezli yengec karisimini yesil salatanin uzerine yayin. Siyah zetin ile susleyerek servis yapin.
